NEW YORK — March 22–25, 2019. MNG Summit's first New York gathering ran four days across the city of immigrants and ambition, and it would be the last in-person edition for three years. President Nominsuren Munkhuu opened, joined in welcome by H.E. Sukhbold Sukhee, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations. Bayarjargal Chogsom performed the Mongolian national anthem on Morin Khuur.
The keynote was delivered by Sukhbat Lkhagvadorj, co-founder of the fintech startup Coinseed and founder of the Association of Mongolian Students in America (AMSA). Career talks profiled Batkhaan Namshir (Microsoft), Munkhzul Bayanmunkh (Retoch LLC), and Amarbayar Amarsanaa (GitLab). The Saturday workshop, co-led by Bil G and Batchimeg Ganbaatar, doubled as the public launch of MNG Hub, the organization's first digital platform announcement.
The "My Career Journey in the United States" panel featured Nomi Ganbold, Urgamal Azat, Enkhtaivan Oyunbazar, and Ider Batbayar, moderated by Treasurer Enkhtuya Enkh-Erdene. The NHUB project competition was led by Jantsankhorol Damdinsuren as Committee Lead, with author Galbadrakh Gombosuren serving as Head Judge. The pandemic pause that followed in 2020 and 2021 didn't kill the program; it reshaped what would come back.
