Board Member Roles:


President/Chair

Provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the organization.

Vice President

Supports the President and leads in their absence; often oversees specific committees

Secretary

Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, including minutes of meetings and official records.

Comms Director

Leads efforts to enhance the organization's visibility, brand, and communications with stakeholders

Program Director

Oversees the planning, execution, and evaluation of the organization’s programs.

Fundraising Director

Develops and implements strategies to secure funding through grants, donations, and other revenue streams.

Treasurer

Manages the organization's financial affairs, including budgeting, financial reporting, and oversight of financial procedures.

Volunteer Director

Manages volunteer resources, including recruitment, training, and retention strategies.

Board Member Expectations:


Board Term

Newly elected members of the Board of Directors who have not served before shall serve initial one-year term. After the conclusion of this initial term, members of the Board of Directors may serve additional three-year terms.

Board meetings

Each member of the Board of Directors shall attend at least nine (9) monthly meetings of the Board per year. Regular meetings of the Board of Directors will be held quarterly, at a time and place designated by the chair.

Board election

Applications for new board members are due October 15, 2024. New board members will be elected in November with announcements in December 2024.
